What is My Portable Office?
My Portable Office is a blog dedicated to easy tech solutions. It started as a simple hobby, and it’s been steadily growing since. I started this blog because I run into all kinds of tech issues and I hate searching forums for solutions that are never marked as complete.
On the commercial side, I got tired of all the generic articles out there that recommend products for clicks and sales, with very little interest. If you’re a tech enthusiast that does a lot of work from home, then you might enjoy the content on this website.
The point of the blog is to provide honest consumer advice. The target audience is people who either get most of their work done on a laptop or want to shift to a more portable office, freelance-ish lifestyle.

Who Am I?
My name is Tim and here’s my office:
As someone who spends most of the day on a computer, I decided to make a website for people in similar situations. Who would have thought that most people would start working from home in a few months anyway?
Since I spend all my time at home, I have free time to experiment with random gadgets and projects, and I write about my discoveries on this website.
How Do I Make Money?
I gotta pay the bills somehow. At the moment, this website makes money from two methods: affiliate sales and ads.
What you need to know is that this website (like most) makes money behind the scenes. What that means is you don’t actually have to do anything besides what you’re already planning to do. I won’t ask you to donate or anything like that.

Amazon Associates.
Affiliate are basically people that are paid for recommending products. When you click a link on this website that leads to a store page and you buy a product, I might earn a small commission.
The main affiliate program I use is Amazon Associates. It’s a way for me to earn some money for the time I spent building this website. You can learn more about how Amazon Associates works over here.
I recently partnered with Best Buy US too.
Ezoic:
You might see some ads from time to time. At the moment, I’m using a platform called Ezoic which shows ads in certain areas of my website.
I try to keep as few ads as possible because I don’t want to clutter it and slow down website performance. Nobody likes ads, but it’s a way to earn a few dollars here and there.
